Band
Made up entirely of Berklee College of Music students and graduates, the Golden Band Wedding Band specializes in bluegrass, oldtime, country and texas swing music.
The band has been playing together since the fall of 2008, and began providing wedding and party entertainment in the summer of 2009.

David Delaney
Trained in Composition and Violin Performance at Berklee College of Music, David has played the fiddle since he propped his older sister’s violin up against a couch to hold it to his chin. It was love at first screech. Now graduated from Berklee, David tours up and down the northeast with Boston based band The Whiskey Boys and “guest stars” with a number of groups, most excitingly and recently with Three Day Threshold on a tour of military bases in Djibouti, Kuwait and Qatar. David decided he loved playing weddings when his older brother asked him to play his ceremony on Block Island. Enthusiastic about the idea, Dave composed the processional and recessional and has since composed music for many weddings, giving The Golden Band quite a repertoire of beautiful original pieces they can play alongside the classics. David is published in “The Connecticut Sounds”, a collection of contra dance tunes written by Connecticut composers. Originally from Connecticut, David now now makes his home in Boston.
Lukas Pool
Lukas Pool is the 2011 Old-Time Banjo National Champion. He acquired a passion for Old-time and Bluegrass music naturally having grown up in the Ozark town of Mountain View, Arkansas the self proclaimed “Folk Music Capital of the World.” Beginning his performance career at age twelve Lukas has worked tirelessly to hone his skills. One of only a handful Banjo players accepted, Lukas moved to Boston to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music and has since become a strong member of a thriving old-time and bluegrass community there. Lukas’s playing has been described at “magical”, “amazing”, “soulful and energetic” and “a thrill to listen to.”

Mark Kilianski
Mark’s guitar playing lends a diverse and energetic edge to the Golden Band’s sound. After forming a solid foundation in Rock and Blues music in his teens, Mark went on to study Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Upon arriving in Boston, Mark discovered a thriving Folk Music scene, and dove in head first. With the attitude and rhythmic drive of Rock ‘N Roll, subtle colors and rich chords of Jazz, and a passion for the tradition of American and Celtic Folk Music, Mark Kilianski’s guitar playing is a perfect combination of beauty and power.
